Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County

The Karst Playscape is a multi-phase, universally accessible recreation area at Karst Farm Park. The first phases of the Playscape will include a water splash pad, a toddler playground, a ramped play unit for 5-12 year-olds and accessible sand tables. Imagine that you are a child with cerebral palsy and for the first time there is a place where you can play along with the other kids... Or that your mother can join the family picnic with her grandchildren, at a shelter that accommodates her wheelchair... A park where we all play... Monroe County Access to Recreation is working to make it a reality. Monroe County Access to Recreation has three goals: 1. Design and begin building a multiphase, accessible recreation area at Karst Farm Park, the Karst Playscape. 2. Build awareness of and commitment to accessible recreation in Monroe County. 3. Provide ongoing funding for accessible recreation projects through the Monroe County Access To Recreation Endowment at the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County.
