Experiential Recreation Center at Hull Park
The Grand Traverse region has an abundance of recreational resources: miles of shoreline, nine county parks covering 2,000 acres in communities across Grand Traverse County, 30 city parks in Traverse City, 55 miles of transportation and recreation trails across the region, and much more.

The Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation will work with the City of Traverse City and Grand Traverse County Parks and Recreation Departments, along with core partners Grand Traverse Area Children's Garden, Traverse Area Community Sailing (TACS), and Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation (TART) Trails - a regional trail system - to develop an interconnecting, accessible Experiential Recreation Center, located at Hull Park.

The Experiential Recreation Center at Hull Park projects include:
  • Grand Traverse Children's Garden - accessible outdoor kitchen and accessible pathways between gardens and new accessible storage and tool sheds
  • Traverse Area Community Sailing (TACS) - accessible boat house flooring and window ventilation operation, adapted sailboat, body lift for boat entry/exit, accessible route from boathouse to water and docks
  • Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation (TART) Trails - connecting trail between the TART Trail and Boardman Lake Trail that will also serve as the connector from the community to Hull Park, GTA Children's Garden, and TACS
