Sandusky in Bloom: The Washington Park Conservatory
The City of Sandusky's working greenhouse campus will be renovated to enable public access. Currently the greenhouse provides horticultural services for the city's award-winning floral gardens in the city parks. The transformation from a working greenhouse campus into a botanical garden for educational and recreational use will provide everyone access to America's #1 leisure activity - gardening.

The Washington Park Conservatory will provide opportunities and access through the following:
  • Botanical exhibit space with interpretive signage.
  • Adjustable-height bedding tables, which will allow volunteers to help with plant propagation for the parks and allow hands-on gardening classes
  • Outdoor space will provide a large plaza, pergola with landscaped space for demonstrations, and children's and sensory gardens
